Losing weight, particularly abdominal fat, can be very challenging, especially when the belly fat you are dealing with is quite stubborn.  But, melting the excess fat is possible, even while you sleep.  Here are a couple of bedtime drinks that help burn abdominal fat faster.

“Both belly bulge and love handles are about excess body fat, not lack of muscle… The best way to reduce these problem areas is to reduce your overall body fat percentage, and we all know that that requires diet and exercise.” – Jillian Michaels

Cucumber Juice

Juice a few fresh cucumbers for a delicious and healthy bedtime drink. If you find the flavor too strong, add water as desired.  Grating ginger on the juice or squeezing some lemons is also a good idea, if you are looking for a way to make it tastier.

Cucumbers have a relatively low calorie intake, but are packed with fiber, minerals, vitamins, and antioxidant which support weight loss. They promote digestion and help keep blood sugar levels in check too.

Lemon and cucumber juice

Drinking lemon water on a daily basis provides a wide range of health benefits, including losing abdominal fat.  According to a study published in the Journal of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine, people who consumed lemon juice 4 times daily while fasting improved their lipid profile and reduce their body fat mass.  To make it tastier, combine it with a cucumber or an orange.

Cucumber and cilantro drink

This drink is also packed with antioxidants which help flush the toxic matter and fat from the body.  Mix cucumber, a cup of cilantro, lemon, and half a glass of water.  Sprinkle with a tablespoon of Aloe Vera juice and grated ginger, and enjoy.

Ginger Tea

Ginger is already known for its wide range of health benefits,  but a recent study suggests that it is effective at fighting obesity as well.  It works by aiding in food digestion, alleviating stomach discomfort, promoting better nutrient absorption, and helping melt abdominal fat. To make ginger tea tastier, add a teaspoon of honey or squeeze in some lemon.

Dandelion Tea

Dandelion tea is great for relieving heartburn, bloating, and other forms of stomach discomfort.  Being a natural diuretic, it also helps flush out toxins and excess water weight from the body.

Green Tea

Green tea contains little to no caffeine, so it helps the body become more relaxed. As you sleep, you can boost your metabolism to prevent any weight gain. As an added bonus, green tea is a great antioxidant which aids in weight loss.

Pineapple Juice

According to the Joslin Diabetic Center, fiber-rich food like pineapple can make you feel full without adding to your belly fat.  Just like lemon, a glass of freshly squeezed pineapple is refreshing and tasty.  You can enjoy it warm too.

Strawberry with lemon and herbs

Strawberries contain phytochemicals which aid in weight loss and protect against heart disease and cancer.  They also contain compounds which block hormones which raise blood sugar, interfere with weight loss, and trigger inflammation.

Grapefruit and cinnamon juice

Grapefruit is extremely filling and hydrating! It is also loaded with nutrients and helps boost metabolism.  You can either buy grapefruit juice or use freshly blended one.  Mix a glass of water, cinnamon sticks, and sugar to taste. Let it sit for a few minutes before combining it with cold water and grapefruit. Garnish with mint.

Apple Cider Vinegar Juice

Thanks to its antibacterial and antibiotic properties, apple cider vinegar can help with intestinal spasms, stomach upset, and diarrhea. Mix a few tablespoons of ACV with a glass of water, and garnish with some slices of fresh apple.
