1. Stress

Our skin mainly has 2 types of glands eccrine glands and apocrine glands.

Eccrine glands secrete fluid to surface of the skin to cool your body when your body temperature rises. This fluid (sweat) consists of more water and salt which is odorless.

On the other hand, apocrine glands secrete milky fluid when you’re in stress. Even this fluid is odorless, but bacteria feed on fats and proteins in the fluid leaving unpleasant smell on the body.

These apocrine glands which secrete milky fluid develop in hair follicle abundant areas like armpits. Regularly shaving underarm hairs will help to get rid of odor to some extent.

2. Food You Eat

3. Genetic Disorder May Be The Cause

Trimethylaminuria is a condition where body unable to break down trimethylamine (a chemical compound with pungent odor). As a result this compound builds up in the body causing strong odor in sweat, urine and breathe. Intensity of the odor interfere daily life, affecting his/her social relations.

4. Alcohol

Do you drink? Then you must know how your body process alcohol. Alcohol courses throughout your body including blood. Some pees through pores and through breathe.

Once compounds of alcohol broken in your body they give an unpleasant smell which comes through sweat, urine and breathe.

5. Diabetes or Liver Disease

Because of a condition called ketoacidosis, people with diabetes may give off a fruit or sweet smell from sweat and breathe. Nation Institute of Health states that body attempts to get rid of acetone through breathe that is why it smells sweet. Daily treatment is needed.

Likewise people with liver disease shows signs of odor from there breathe. According to National Institute of Health it may have sweet or musty odor.

Main cause of feet odor is that they are tucked in dark and warm environment, which is favorable to bacteria. Walk bare foot when possible and wash with warm water.

Other causes include poor hygiene and medications which causes strange odor.
