Newly Restored Footage Shows the Aftermath Of 9/11 Attacks

All kinds of viral articles about newly released 9/11 footage have circulated in the past, but this article is actually about a “restored” piece of footage (video below) that most people have not seen in this form.

It’s the 17th anniversary of the September 11th attacks soon, and now footage obtained by a man named Mark LaGanga with quite cleared up audio and visuals has garnered about 600,000 views and hundreds of comments.

One of the comments reads:

“I was 12 when this footage was taken and even I don’t remember anything being in such high-definition in the broadcasts. This is so much more than a remastering. This was stunning journalism and the enhancement is incredible. You can really grasp the gritty, terrifying atmosphere of what went down that morning.”

On the 15th anniversary of September 11th, documentaries were released. Now, on this odd number of 17, people are forgetting 9/11 was the moment where all liberties started to die.

The footage is actually a little under half an hour long. The person who captured the footage worked for CBS, and it shows brave people working with the emergency service trying to work and help people, despite being covered by carcinogenic dust and debris after the towers had collapsed.

In the footage, you can see survivors being shepherded into ambulances waiting to help them. In other scenes, beds are what people are being wheeled away on in the chaotic event.

A rescuer, confusingly referred to as someone from the Secret Service, at one point in the video advses the man in the footage to get out of the wreckage. He warned. “I think you should leave. Everybody else is gone. I hear the top of the building fell down.”

Did you know the victims of 9/11 are still being identified? They are literally still finding the body parts of the people who lost their lives on that tragic day.

For example just a month ago, 26 year old (at the time) man Scott Michael Johnson was identified as a victim of the attack, because they found a piece of his jaw bone. At the time, the victim was working as a securities analyst for Keefe Bruyette and Woods, an investment bank with offices in the tower.

According to experts, that makes Johnson the 1,632nd person to be officially identified as a victim in the 9/11 attacks.

According to Lad Bible:

“There are around 1,100 people still believed to be unaccounted for. The team at the New York medical examiners office are now using high-spec DNA testing to help give closures to the families of those who are thought to have been killed.

Chief Medical Examiner Barbara Simpson said: “In 2001, we made a commitment to the families of victims that we would do whatever it takes, for as long as it takes, to identify their loved ones.”

Will people remember 9/11 in a few years? Do the people in power want people to remember it?
